Cell Models Display and Presentation
This project involved students groups of 3 or 4, working together to build a model of a plant cell and an animal cell. They were given a list of required parts and the directions were to build the cell models out of items found at home, outside, or purchased AND the items used must represent the FUNCTION of the cell part and NOT the shape.

2
3D Model of a Cell
Purpose: Produce a 3D model of a plant cell and an animal cell, to better understand the structure and the workings of these types of cells. You will work with a partner to construct a model made of edible materials that meets the criteria listed below. You are responsible for creating a key with a list of all the organelles in each model. Although you are splitting up the work with a partner both of you are responsible for knowing the different structures of each model and the functions of the organelles. Once the models have been completed you and your partner will be assessed with an identification quiz using your models. REMEMBER: Science is not edible but anything that you do not use to construct the model maybe ingested.

Weathering, Erosion, and Deposition Comic
You must create a comic that portrays the breaking, moving, and settling of rocks in Texas. Start by choosing an eco-region. Then choose a type of Weathering, Erosion, and Deposition and show how it will effect your eco region. Feel free to use the Before and After approach shown in examples, if you like!

Cell Structure and Function Performance Project
Draw a diagram of an animal, label the parts of the cell including organelles and describe the functions of the organelles which are specific to that particular cell on a separate piece of paper or write it out next to your drawing. You can use a computer to type your desription but you can not copy and paste. Use the following materials provided to complete this task: computer, lead pencil, colored pencils or markers, loose leaf paper or computer paper and a drawing paper.
