Storyboard Rubric English 1
Students will create, in groups, a 9-frame storyboard depicting their assigned original narrative. With photos of the storyboards, the groups willl then present their project to the class in an oral presentation. Each student is expected to speak in the presentation.

MLA-Format Bibliography and Works Cited Pages
Emphasizing the research process; Using a variety of print and electronic (Internet and database) sources that are credible and relevant to the topic; Listing all sources consulted in an MLA Bibliography; Attributing sources in an MLA Works Cited page

Research Paper
Research the approved topic. Submit a minimum of one page (seven paragraphs)word, typed paper, double spaced, 12 point font following english language conventions. Include a Works Cited page citing at least 3 resources used researching the paper. Paper will be graded on quality of research to support the topic, effective use of information gained through research, credibility of sources, content, grammar and mechanics, and citations (both in-text and Works Cited page).

Visual Ad
Create a visual ad convincing the audience to purchase your product. Think magazine advertisement. You may use them for inspiration, BUT you can not copy it! If I find your ad or an ad that looks very similar to your ad, you WILL get a ZERO. This should be your OWN ORIGINAL WORK! Should only contain visual persuasive techniques. There should be minimal writing on the ad.

Create and present a Television Ad.
Write and present a 30-60 second ad script for Televison. Announcement must include an attention getter, name of the product, why auidience should buy it (argument), why they shouldn't buy another product (counter argument) and what you want your audience to do (call to action)-BUY THE PRODUCT!. May include music in background. Can use the power of your voice AND Visual aids (your product). You may use any persuasive technique that a television ad would have BUT this will be performed live in class.
