The students will work to put together a poster for display. The poster will contain relevant information directly related to the chosen topic. Students will provide information on their given topic in a creative and colorful poster.

Research the disease or disorder and find at least three reliable resources. Complete a report on the disease or disorder you selected.

1. Design a page showing the hierarchy among cells, tissues, organs and organ systems. 2. Clearly label each step. Draw an example of each step. 3. Must be in correct order from smallest to largest. 4. All drawings and information must be accurate and complete. 5. Be sure to make it colorful and appealing to draw interest to the page.

Create a board game with visuals to help increase student practice and understanding medical terminology. This is due on September 30 and students will play all the games to assist with grading this project

To create a brochure on the disease that was assigned on a patient level. To be able to explain what the disease is, the signs and symptoms, and to talk about the treatment options.

Students will do research on a career of their choice and create an informational poster using Microsoft Word. Poster should include: Title, job description, personal skills for that career, salary range, training, nature of work, working conditions, and occupational outlook (must be quantifiable).

Students will write a persuasive editorial of the topic, while applying and displaying their knowledge and understanding of the pros and cons of the topic.

Reflections allow students the opportunity to think about their experiences and "get the learning out" of these experiences. Reflections are an important part of the feedback loop between the student and their teacher. Therefore, sharing the learning with the teacher in a timely manner, allows the teacher to offer formative guidance through timely responses to the reflection, which increases student learning.
