Letter to My Future Self Assignment
Students will write a letter to their future selves to help them think about who they want to become and where they want to be in the future.

Write & present a 1 min. script for a TV commercial that highlights the issues of excessive internet & screen use; persuade people to change their behavior. Use at least 7 of the vocabulary words related to electronic devices recently presented in class. You can have a specific target audience i.e.. teens and/or children and adults. Everyone in the group Must have a speaking part. Must use props & visual aids (where possible). There will be a live performance of your commercial in class.

The electronic album will include either photos or images that support the short descriptions and stories that you tell.

Voyage à un pays francophone
The purpose of this project is to facilitate student learning about travel to a French-speaking country. The student will pretend that he/she has a budget of $3500 to visit a minimum of 3 cities in 2 or more French-speaking countries (or French territories) for 2-5 days each and will make round trip travel arrangements to and from their chosen countries. To be prepared for the trip, the student will use technology to conduct internet research, books and travel brochures in order to be able to answer questions about their chosen countries' culture, government, religion, social events, recreational pastimes, history, economics, etc. After the student has gathered all of the research, s/he will synthesize the information and create a comprehensive itinerary in French (French III & IV) or in English (French I & II) for the trip. This itinerary will then be presented to the class. French I & II will need to memorize 5-10 basic French sentences for the presentation as well.

Students will make a family tree in French on powerpoint. You must include at least 10 family members. You must include a combination of both immediate and extended family and you must include yourself on the tree. You must have: 1. A picture for each family member 2. A family vocabulary term 3. A possessive adjective (mon, ma) 4. The relationship of that family member to another family member. Example: Voila Catherine. C'est ma mère. Elle est la fille de ma grand-mère.
