Hero Movie Maker Project
To use this rubric to evaluate student work on the Hero Movie Maker Project, you should determine the number of points achiedved in each of the 5 categories. Then add the points up for all 5 categories and mulitply by 5. The lowest score possible is a "25" and the highest score is "100." Please note that a score of at least a "3" in a category must be achieved for the quality of the student's work to be considered satisfactory in that category. This Hero Movie Maker Project rubric was adapted from a Photo Story Rubric on the Rubistar website and a Digital Documentary rubric from Teaching Matters, Inc.

Outsiders Character Sketch
Students first create a collage to represent a character’s personality, likes and dislikes, history and background, important moments and events in his/her life, and why this character is important to the novel. Students then turn their collage into a Windows Movie Maker Movie complete with animation and audio.
