Orchestra Performance Assessment Rubric

Students have two choices for their Final Exam. They can either perform at the Spring Fine Arts Concert, or play solo during class with the following pieces: Eleanor Rigby and Wild Western Frontier

This research essay will follow the APA style and be 5-7 pages in length, not including the title page or reference page(s). The reference page should include at least five (5) sources used in researching the paper. The paper will be graded on quality of research, effective use of information gained through research, credibility of sources and relevance of included information.

Piano Performance Final Exam

In addition to the written portion, Students will perform a selected piece(s) independently or as a duet in order to demonstrate the proper technique, posture, correct rhythm, pitch, and tempo. Students must also apply an accumulated knowledge of musical notation, symbols, and terminology in order to perform the assigned piece accurately and correctly.
