Students will work in pairs to identify and present a hot topic surrounding medication use, administration, errors, reconciliation etc.

The following rubric is so students will know what is expected of them regarding effort in doing class assignments: participation, cooperation, thoroughness in doing assignments, individual/group work, critical/creative thinking, etcetera.

This rubric will be used to help participant of online course evaluate response to discussion topics.

The students/group will put together information on 12 medications or category of medications highlighting specific information important for nursing care and management.

Research the approved topic. Submit one 4-6 page typed paper, double spaced, 12 point font following MLA guidelines. Include a bibliography citing at least 6 resources used researching the paper. (use quotes from 5) Sources should include a news paper, 2 professional journals, your text and two other books. Quotes can not be more than 5 lines. You are encouraged to interject your personal opinion into this paper. Paper will be graded on quality of research to support the topic, effective use of information gained through research, credibility of sources, content, grammar and mechanics, and bibliography.

This rubric will be used for all submitted papers.
