Plan of Action
The teacher will provide and discuss with students the current FitnessGram standards for the Healthy Fitness Zone (HFZ) and the results of their own Physical Fitness Tests. Students will analyze their own fitness report and identify areas where they need improvement. Once they have identified the areas they need to improve, they will develop a personal “plan of action” to improve their fitness scores to be in the Health Fitness Zone on each fitness test item. The personal "plan of action" can be written or illustrated with drawings. The teacher will send home examples of written, illustrated drawlings, and rubric so students will have a better understanding of what is expected of their work. The students will be required to write or draw goals for the next quarter.

President's Fitness Challenge
Students will evaluate their performance on the standards of President's Fitness Challenge. Each student must asses their score and rate it according to the measurements of their age. The student will pretest each area in the Fall and post-test in the Spring. Each area of the test supports the components of Health Related Fitness: strength, endurance, flexibility and cardiovascular efficiency

Smart Goal setting game.
Part 1: Student will choose a personal SMART goal. They will need to develop the SMART fully before beginning part 2. Part 2. Then each student will need to design a creative board game centered on their goal as a theme. Clearly define the goal, or objective, of the game. Students will have to define the rules, outline the strategy, and identify potential pitfalls, rewards, hazards and challenges. At the end of this project, students will share their games with others. A designated goal game day will be given, where students can try other students' games. Please keep them to 8 1/2" X 11".
