Rubric describes how students will be graded on Discussion Posts

Students are to create a movie trailer which advertises their documentary film. The trailer, known as the preview to audiences, is the standard way of advertising your film. This acts as a commercial for your movie that tells a little about the film, using footage from that film.

Group work peer evaluation form

A student can earn from 0-10 points per class, based on his/her behavior during class. A student's Daily Participation/Behavior Grade is contingent upon how the student chooses to contribute to in-class lectures, discussions, and the overall classroom environment. This daily grade was engineered to ensure that each student is receiving the most out of his/her time in English III Honors, while also enabling parents/guardians to remain informed of their student's behavior in the classroom.

Students respond analytically to literary text.

Assignment: Identify and explain a key literary technique (plot development, character development, foreshadowing, symbolism, etc.) used in the novel. Explain how it is used, citing 3 or more specific examples from the novel. Explain why the technique is important to the novel and how the novel might be different if the technique had not been used.

Basic 4 point rubric for an author study.

Students will create a song, poem or rap in which they give their explanation of what is wrong with the education system today.

This powerpoint rubric is for assessment on an assignment on biography research and presentation in the form of a powerpoint by a group

Students need to write a multi-paragraph essay informing the audience about the writer's personal identity. This essay must reflect the writer's quilt square describing in detail a minimum of 4 artifacts that appear on the writer's quilt square.

Students respond to quotes and activities from the text. Students also respond to each other's entries.

Reflect on your group's cooperative group skills and task performance and enter a rating for each group work responsibility. Circle the number that best fits their performance. Sign the form before turning it in to the teacher.

Students will know homework expectations which would include completeness, accuracy, requirements, legibility and time management. This rubric will also provide a means of grading homework assignments. The better the quality of your homework, hopefully, the better your grade. Pay attention to grammar, spelling, and sentence sturcture. Above all, be mindful of content. (i.e., what you're saying)

Turn the play A Man for All Seasons into a graphic novel, correctly using graphic novel formatting, spelling, and punctuation. The main focus should be on the sequencing of the information presented. Illustrations, while not graded for perfection, should be whole heartedly attempted, showing attention to expression.
