Interview/Writing an American Dream

Interview a family member, friend, or neighbor asking them about their American Dream. You should use a tape recorder or write notes during the interview. Then write the introduction and the conversation similar to the example shown. You may rearrange the conversation in your writing or take out parts that are off topic.

Group Poster Rubric

Working in groups of three to four, students will work collaboratively on a presentation to the class based on the in class text reading of the American Dream and each group member's interpretation. Each group will prepare an 8 to 10 minute presentation to the class on their topic. Each group presentation shall include a tri-fold poster prepared by the group illustrating the group’s particular interpretation.
