University, Science, Brief Research Proposal/Research course

The students will put together a poster for display. The poster will contain relevant information directly related to their assigned topic. The poster will be designed on a single sheet of poster paper no larger than 22"x 28".

Purposeful presentation designed to increase knowledge, to foster understanding and promote change in the listeners' attitudes, values, beliefs, or behaviors.

The rubric describes essential ingredients of how to reflect on and synthesize your learning. Your response should synthesize your the knowledge you have gained from multiple resources throughout this course.

This rubric will be used to grade reflection POSTED REFLECTION ESSAYS

Participate in class discussions that involve responding to one question. Each discussion topic is work 10% of your grade and replaces classroom participation points typical of a traditional classroom. Post one initial idea and then respond to one of your classmates' responses in a critical and meaningful manner. Posts such as "I agree..." or "Wow..." are not acceptable. Each original post as well as one response to another's post will be worth 10 points.

This rubric will evaluate the participation of a student based on preparedness, behavior, attitude, attendance, and social interaction during their social immersion program.
