Pig Dissection Lab Final
Students will work in groups to carry out the fetal pig dissection as a practical final for the classification unit. Students must complete the dissection within the allotted time and comply with all lab procedure and safety rules. Students must be able to answer all packet questions as well as identify all required structures when questioned orally during the dissection.

Human Body System Graphic
Students will design a graphic to teach about one of the body systems (circulatory, respiratory, digestive, urinary, nervous or reproductive). They are to include all major components in their model design, neatly labeling each. They are to select an appropriate medium for design (video, drawing, model, etc). Student must convey the essential information about their system.

Students will trace the evolution of their organ system. They are to include all major components in their model design, neatly labeling each. They are to select an appropriate medium for design. Student must convey the essential information about their system through a notes sheet set up next to their system at their station. Their classmates will evaluate the usefulness of their system design and notes by taking a test on the system.

Make-Up Biology Project and Presentation Rubric
Identify a biology topic or issue from chapters 1-6 and create a power point project, a poster, or a song which you will present to the class. Your project should include detailed interesting facts that would be interesting for your classmates and teacher to learn. Discuss the facts of the issue, at least 5 pertinent facts about the subject, and describe how this topic is important to humans. Your presentation needs to be 5 min. in length. You will be graded on the areas stated below.
