This rubric is meant to help guide in the creation of your PowerPoint presentation project. Each category in the far left column represents a component of the project that will be taken into consideration when calculating the final grade for this assignment. Review the rubric carefully before, during and after the creation of the PowerPoint presentation, to ensure that all intended elements of your powerpoint have been represented and all other criteria have been met.

The students will work in groups to put together a poster for display. The poster will contain relevant information directly related to your food trend selected. The poster should have areas segmented that directly reflect the outline created by the student. The 3D model of the food should be creative and colorful. The students are required to explain their poster and food item to the class and teacher

Each kitchen group will choose two herbs and two spices to research and use in the drink recipe. Create a simple syrup with chosen ingredients that will sweeten and enhance the drink/tea. Combine these herbs and spices along with other ingredients provided by the teacher to make a specialty drink.

This rubric will be used to evaluate your rubric. This rubric was adapted from "Creating & Recognizing Quality Rubrics" by Educational Testing Service.

The students will work in a group to put together a poster for display. The poster will contain relevant information directly related to the methods selected by the students. The poster should have areas segmented that directly reflect the outline created by the students. Illustrate the process of each cooking method. Use drawings and text to display each step in the process. The poster will be designed on either poster board (full-sized poster board) or tri fold poster board.

The Career and College Research Project requires a career and college to be researched based on student interest.

Design a restaurant concept, which involves the entire dining experience. Elements that define a restaurant concept include decor, lighting, menu, service, price, location, size, target market, atmosphere, seating, and hours of operation. Create a 3-D model of the restaurant of your choice. As always use your creativity!!!
