After reading different Native American and Cultural Myths and having a class discussion, the students will write their own myth/legend. The myth/legend must follow the myth/legend format. Students will write their own myths to demonstrate their learning regarding symbolism in myth.

Students will choose a symbol to represent themselves. Using their creativity and writing skills, students will bring in or craft a media representation of their symbol then write one paragraph interpreting their symbol.

This rubric will be used to assess the four types of public speaking exercises performed by students.

Student needed to use descriptive words, and at least 7 similes and/or metaphors to describe one color.

This rubric is meant to help guide in the creation of your PowerPoint presentation project. Each category in the far left column represents a component of the project that will be taken into consideration when calculating the final grade for this assignment. Review the rubric carefully before, during and after the creation of the PowerPoint presentation, to ensure that all intended elements of your powerpoint have been represented and all other criteria have been met.
