You are a food vendor who makes one of the best Hispanic dishes, and you have been invited to a cultural event in which you must give your dish life. You decide that the best way to do this is to connect a folkloric story to the dish that are going to prepare in order to educate the audience of the connection between culture and food. Your goal is to inform the audience that food like culture is syncretic and it is this harmonic mixture working together that makes your dish the best.

Los estudiantes trabajarán por su propia cuenta para armar un folleto. El folleto contendrá información relevante directamente relacionada con el tema asignado. Los estudiantes proporcionarán información precisa en un cartel creativo y colorido / imágenes o escenarios para educar a sus compañeros sobre el tema. El folleto se diseñará en una hoja de papel de tamaño estándar.

Students will create a multiple web-page in the Spanish, turned in as: an actual web page. The information in the web-page must: use the vocabulary from the chapter, be relevant to the topic of the chapter, include photos and be navigable. Each page of the presentation is to include color, pictures and graphics. Project is entirely in the Spanish language. Usage of the vocabulary learned in this chapter is mandatory.

You will create a short film in Spanish. Using the video La clase de Esteban, students will create a remake. In groups of 3-4 students will need to discuss the classrooms rules and discuss what lecture will be given. Be creative and have fun!

The student will write a book report/review (at least 1/2 a page) on a book of their choice. They will need to include the title, author, setting, their favorite and least favorite parts, as well as summarize the plot and talk about the main characters. They will then prepare a 3 minute presentastion of their report to present in front of the class.
