Character Interview Based on Code Orange by Caroline Cooney
You will be working in pairs to conduct an interview with a character from the novel Code Orange by Caroline Cooney. Your interview must include an introduction of the character from the novel. Then create at least ten questions that will give the character the opportunity to discuss his/her thoughts and feelings about his/her role in the story. One student will play the role of the interviewer and the other will play the role of the character from the novel. Video tape the interview The class will screen the interviews and critique each presentation using a rubric.

Procedural Writing
The student writes a paragraph describing how to do something. There is an opening, a list of materials, an explanation using connecting word and a closing sentence that restates the opening in other word.
