Musical Painting (Art I)
Students will create a composition using medium(s) of their choice to depict a moment of their favorite song. This can be more abstracted to represent the emotion of the song, or realistic to represent the lyrics. This project will focus on use of creativity, symbolism, and expression. This project should take at least two weeks, include school appropriate subject matter, and include a printout of the lyrics depicted.

Multi-Media Mashup (Art II)
Students will create a composition using multiple mediums to render the place they would like to travel to. Students should research the place they would like to visit, and depict their findings in this piece. This picture should a include a landscape and focus on the use of line, color, and shading with multiple mediums. This project should take at least two weeks to complete.

Students will create a composition of the animal they feel best represents themselves. This may be a drawing, painting, sculpture, etc. This will include a 3-5 sentence reflection of how they made that animal represent themselves. Value, shape, texture, and form should be explored in this project, which should take at least to weeks to complete.
