Students will create a project using traditional clothing garments (and accessories) given culture on the project handout. The written portion should include a description of history and function of the garment, along with who would wear it. The visual presentation must also have pictures of authentic garments (NOT COSTUMES). The video must thoroughly explain how to wear the garment.

Student will choose a food item for their research based on the handout directions. 1. Students will find a recipe for a food item, to be used and then included in their write up. 2. Students will write a minimum of one paragraph (over 6 sentences) about the history and/or important cultural facts about the chosen food item. 3. Students will create a poster board that includes step 1 and 2 along with a visual demonstration of the German food item. Due date: 05/23/2014

The poster should have areas segmented that directly reflect the outline created by the student, including pictures. The poster will be designed on either poster board (full-sized poster board). Be prepared to answer questions or present information.

Create a board game that utilizes vocabulary, concepts and gifted outcomes. You must create a rules that explains how to play the game. The game board needs to be creative, with a game name, and all of the materials to play the game must be included. Questions must be printed by hand or typed. Your game board must be complete and ready for playing on due date. Do not copy an existing commercial board game. Have fun!

Students will create a short video skit that will be 2 to 4 minutes in length. Skit must be completely school appropriate and no more than two people can receive credit for the video. On a grid handout create your own crossword puzzle using 15 words from a vocabulary list. Use definitions or sentences as hints for your crossword and identify them as “across” and “down” hints.
