This rubric is for two dimensional drawings of three dimensional objects using manual drawing equipment.

Purpose: Create a Presentation in any format that illustrates or expresses the level of understanding that the student has for content concepts. The criteria and levels of achievement for this Rubric should be interpreted for the type of presentation that is delivered. Presentations may be given orally, as a 3-D Model, poster, slide show, etc. This was originally developed for an Architectural Style model

Students act as architects: drawing two sets of rough drafts, building one three dimensional model and provide a presenation that summarizes the process.

Students will create a scale model of a residential or commercial/ industrial building using parts from a kit. They will be graded on each phase of construction: structural design, floor plan, landscape including and interior and exterior finishings.

Build A Three Dimensional Home That Demonstrates A Specific Style of Architecture: Students will build a model of a home with an easily recognizable style, such as; Prairie, Ranch, Contemporary, Tudor, Queen Anne, Colonial, or Greek Revival. The student will work to make their model look authentic. They will also need to be able to describe at least 6 of the architectural features that distinguish their model as the style they are displaying.

Student will choose an existing floor plan. They will then gererate a precise and accurate hand sketch of the plan using 1/8" graph paper. They will also generate a CAD sketch using Punch computer architecture program. The sketches will then be stapled neatly and handed in as a desigh package.
