(1 slide) • Food- What is the national dish or typical food served in that country? (1 slide) • Other- Examples: What sports are played? What extra-curricular activities take place? What religion is primarily practiced? What other languages are spoken? History? Students will write a 1-2 paragraph "paper" on a Spanish-speaking person, with focus on effective/accurate research and grammatical conventions in Spanish. Due Weekly.

Students will create a Spanish themed restaraunt menu. Each will be written with correct Spanish grammar and must contain a consistent theme. Each menu must contain a cover page, as well as a breakfast, lunch, dinner, dessert, and drink section. A minimum of three pictures per page must also be contained. You must use at least 5 past participles(used as adjectives) and you must use at least 3 adverbs. Please refer to your book for help.

Objective: To create a semi-professional newscast that includes topics that have been previously studied in conjunction with topics currently being studied in Spanish II. The topics include weather, sports, leisure activities, parties/celebrations, current events in the Spanish-speaking world, current events within the local Spanish community, clothing, fashion, food, and music. Students will work in small groups to create an assigned portion of the newscast. Students will then help arrange the individual presentations to create a final whole-class production. Students will be graded on an individual work, group work, and the outcome of the production as a whole class.

Students will create a PowerPoint Presentation in order to convince their parents to let them go to Miami on a class trip over Spring Break! Project

Students will create a city labeling the stores, public buildings, and various things and locations around the town using Ch. 3.1 Expresate level 2 Spanish.

Students will write a letter to Srta. Harrison using knowledge gained from Chapter 1 of Expresate- Spanish II

• Use the vocabulary you have learned and reviewed to create a small flyer about an interest meeting that will be held for the sport/leisure activity of your choice. The flyer should be something we can display in school (in the hallway for instance) telling students the following information: o What the sport is including a brief description o Where to meet o Who is in Charge- if a student had a question who would they ask o Why you should play/take part in the activity. • Keep in mind that we have studied “question words” and they should be stated in Spanish. • Use an illustration to highlight what your activity is.
