Students will create their own Egyptian Canopic Jars using model magic and paper mache`

Students will create their own Egyptian scarab beetle using clay and glaze.

Students will create their own Egyptian profile panel. Students will draw a side profile of their face adding a Egyptian head dress, their name and 3 things about them in hieroglyphs. They will finish their profiles by coloring the hieroglyphs in crayon and watercolor the remaining areas.

Elementary Students will be assessed with this rubric covering areas of time management, effort, classroom and project completion.

Students will create a coil pot which they will design, build and glaze.

Students will bring in an outdoor or landscape scene of their choice which they will draw in pen using shading and crosshatching.

After the Elements and Principles of Art unity you will be asked to be to name all the elements and principles of art as well as know, describe, and demonstrate examples. In this assessment students will work on demonstrating the Elements and Principles by drawing and using materials in the classroom. While students are working they will be called up one by one and be asked to name and give examples of each element and principle.
