Students will create an animal plaque for final project of science unit.

In specific groups, students will create a 30 second-1 min commercial using the Movie Maker Program. You must import a video for your commercial. Your commercial must be a story line production in which you are trying to convince someone to buy a specific product or go to a specific destination. You must have video, music and audio. Good Luck, and have fun!

Students will translate information from their written essays into spoken form.

Opinion Paragraph on one topic, include a sentence showing the students opinion, 3 reasons to support it and a conclusion sentence that restates the opinion.

Our class has been learning about different types of communities. Our project now, is to create a 2D or 3D project showcasing a community. This will be due on Wednesday, October 26. Remember, in a community, you find buildings, plants, animals and people.

Rubric to use with Independent Reading projects.

Students are to assess their peers in their use of 21st Century Skills used during the project.

The students will work on their own to put together a poster for display. The poster will contain relevant information directly related to the topic selected by the student. The poster should have areas segmented that directly reflect the outline created by the student. The poster will be designed on either poster board (full-sized poster board) or tri fold poster board. The student is required to explain their poster to the class and teacher

After reading different Native American and Cultural Myths and having a class discussion, the students will write their own myth/legend. The myth/legend must follow the myth/legend format. Students will work in groups to design a myth/legend of how Indian Corn came to be. Upon completion groups will make traditional indian Corn Bead Jewelry.

Identify community helpers, their duty and training/schooling.

While studying the elements of fiction, students write a fiction story that demonstrates their understanding of the stages of plot, characteristics of a story. and the writing process.

This is to evaluate an oral presention

Upon completion of in-class practice of identifying and writing short stories that contain the main parts of a story, the learner will be able to effectively write and identify what components make up a story through descriptive details.

Student persuasive essay that uses facts, reasons and details to back up their argument. TEK-ELA 4.19 Students will write persuasive texts to influence the attitudes or actions of a specific audience on specific issues. 4.19A Students will write persuasive essays for appropriate audiences that establish a position and use supporting details.

The student will create a Diorama which includes a favorite scene in the book and an oral report describing the scene they chose (setting, important characters, how/why the scene was important to the plot), tell about the elements in their diorama and how they are related to the scene.
