Students gathered data and entered the sample data into an Excel spreadsheet then created a bar graph to reflect the results. Students were guided through the process once and then worked independently to create a graph that was unique in color, texture and style for the sample data.

Using publisher students will research a state on the internet and fill in the information in their own words using the info on the template. This project was modeled and guided by the teacher and took place over a 5 day period. They were given studyhall opportunities as well. The focus of this project is on basic research skills as well as typing using capitals for names and proper nouns and correct punctuation and spacing. Spelling is not a main priority, but is considered as well. The total is 40 points possible

Students were given a five day assignment where they will use bookmarked websites to perform basic research on a given topic. They will be graded on proper usage of typing skills, pasting pictures, and research skills and accurate information.

They are graded on their use of spacing between words, capitals where needed, periods and commas used correctly when typing (spacing after, not before.) They are also graded on their slide design and animation schemes. They will present their show to the class.
