Design a multimedia project of your choice that: •uses a multimedia program •includes cooperative groups •includes a presentation of information. When selecting multimedia keep in mind the due date for the project and how well your presentation can inform and address all areas of the rubric.

Students will work in groups of 4-6 students to produce a presentation on cell organelles. Each student in the group will be responsible for representing a different organelle, and their presentation must clearly demonstrate: 1) the structure and primary function(s) of the organelle; 2) how the organelle interacts with other organelles in the cell; 3) the importance of the organelle to normal cellular function; and 4) a model or other graphic representation of their organelle.

The students will put together a poster to show during their oral presentation. The poster will contain examples of three biomolecules: carbohydrates, proteins and lipids. The poster will contain illustrations that demonstrate the chemical structure of each biomolecule and may feature an illustration that represents its function in a living system. The poster will reference a specific biomolecule and its significant function in a living system. Each student will provide a written, graphic or oral presentation that demonstrates their individual contribution to the poster.

Students will write an autobiography from the point of view of an energy source, which includes an introduction, a conclusion and their outlook on life and the future.

Students will write a summary report on a recent science-themed book or science article that they have read.

Students will design a mock interview, rap/song/poem, memoir/autobiographical essay or billboard/poster in which the law of conservation of energy or a heat transfer mechanism is illustrated.
