Professional Chef
Plan a meal for four people that includes at least one protien that has been made from scratch, one starch, one vegetable and a dessert or bread. All recipes will be included with your final project. You will turn in a market order/grocery list. Your meal should meet the following criteria: nutritious, include a variety of colors, textures, flavors and will appeal to your family. You must plan, order the ingredients, prepare, serve and clean up your meal. You will also provide an evaluation of your efforts which includes the required information.

Teen Restaurant Project
Working as a team, students will design a restaurant for teens that serves healthy food. The restaurant should have a theme and a name that fits the theme. The team will work with a team member to create an illustration and/or a description of the restaurants decor. A member of the team will create a document that describes and pictures the restaurants entertainment which should also fit the overall theme. The team will work with a team member to create an artistically designed menu that not only fits with theme but outlines the caloric and nutritional content of one "special meal" (appetiser, entree, dessert & drink). All of the illustrations, descriptions and/or menu's will be placed in a presentation folder to be given to the instructor prior to the presentation. The group presentation to the class will be graded based upon all of the elements outlined above.
