Students will complete an infographic based upon their specific design element. Design principles need to be incorporated in the graphic.

This is a fun and informative project to help students understand the difference between cultures around the world. Each student will research one culture or country identifying the following information: location, climate, relegion, influences on diet, economics, housing, and any other information about the country or culture that is pertinent to understanding the cuisine of that country or culture. Information should also include dishes specific to the country or culture. Each student will prepare a food from that country and bring it to share with the class. Students should be able to idenitfiy and share with the class why the dish is popular in that particular country or culture.

To be used as a self-assessment tool for projects in the art room. This rubric is scored as a completion grade. Points will be given when students complete the self-assessment.

OBSERVATION OF preschool child Observe a preschool child to observe a child’s development. Use guidelines provided to write down any interactions between the child and caregiver/teacher that might promote the development of the child and comment on what you have observed.

This rubric applies Bloom's Taxonomy at the preschool level to be used in observing students early receptive/expressive language skills while engaged in structured classroom activities with new and unfamiliar common objects and toys.

Color Wheel -After reading over the color wheel section together, students will create a color wheel to be added to their portfolio, using colored pencils or paints of their choice. -Then students will write next to the wheel a list of the primary, secondary and intermediate colors. Students will identify 7 color harmonies and create a value scale of at least one color.

Each student will choose two topics; herbs, spices and weird foods common to their selected country to research and provide information to the class on a Keynote covering the following eight questions.

Two teams will each build a 4 course French inspired delicious meal. It will be served on an attractive tabletop to be presented at the end of the class.

A "Reflective Portfolio" is a set of writings that summarize the insights and experiences a student has gained from practical assignments. It is used to assess the student's engagement with their work, and their ability to use knowledge in an applied setting.
