Short Essay Questions

Students will create a Christmas song using as much of the vocabulary from the current chapter as possible. Lyrics and song choices MUST be school appropriate.

Song or Rap
Students will create a song or rap to tell the story of the Younger's, discuss theme, moral, conflict and resolution. Students can record the performance for the class or perform the song live for extra credit. Students can also use YouTube to create a video as well. Lyrics and song choices MUST be school appropriate. Inappropriate lyrics or songs may result in a zero. A typed (Times New Roman, double spaced, 12 point font) copy of the song is to be handed in upon performance.

Students will be building a terrarium using the guidelines I have given them. They will also be creating a small trifold poster that explains how the water cycle and carbon cycle are represented in their terrarium, as well as how humans could cause a disruption in these cycles.

Student will write a persuasive essay on one of three topics provided. The essay needs to have a clear introduction that clearly states their position. The body of the essay needs have a minimum of three facts from the information provided that supports their position. The paper needs to end with a strong conclusion.
