The group work will involve a cooperating group of students collaborating on a programming assignment. The intent in this course is to develop a good understanding of programming and problem solving. Students will demonstrate their understanding by posting to a wiki space that will show the level of their collaboration. All elements of their work, participation, and codes will be assessed by how well the team collaborated, how well the involvement of the individual members contributed to the effectiveness of the finished product.

Each student will create a java source code that will generate a hello world greeting. They will compile the program to create a class file. Each student will run the class file to output the result to the computer screen.

TEST: Students must provide answers during each week to a set of questions. This is individual work. The answers must be delivered as a saved words file to the designated drop box. The grade earned will depend on the number of correct responses.

Student will respond to the weekly prompts by the Wednesday and respond to at least two classmates by the last day of the week, which is Sunday. The response to the weekly prompt must be substantial, insightful, probing, and can introduce a completely new dimension to the idea or topic. The instructor will log in to the discussion and will and if necessary moderate the discussion mostly by providing feedbacks when appropriate, and questions when necessary.
