Rubric for Assessing I B World Lit Assignments
Rubric for Practice of “World Literature Assignments 1 & 2”: Your work will be graded under 4 categories: A) Knowledge of aspect of the work, and treatment; B) Knowledge and understanding of works; C) Presentation; D) Language. To get a good mark, you will: 1 Choose an appropriate aspect 2 Ensure that your chosen aspect has focus 3 Ensure that your ideas show independence of thought and treatment is relevant to the aspect 4 Show detailed knowledge of, and good insight into, aspects of most relevant to assignment 5 Show clear, meaningful linking of works 6 Show appreciation of cultural setting relevant to assignment 7 Show clear, logical structure 8 Show precise, pertinent references to the works 9 Remain within the word limit 10 Use an appropriate register 11 Follow writing conventions 12 Write fluently and clearly. For the 1st, 7th, 10th, 11th and 12th categories, I will be referring to the rubric for marking "IB and AP Essays."
