Confederation Party Report

Each student will hand in a report of what you learned from the party presentations. During the presentations you will fill out your graphic organizer with notes on the other parties. Your report must include answers to all sections on the graphic organizer. You will have three sections in your report (one section per party; you do not report on the party you presented). Each section must be at least 10 sentences.

Confederation Party Presentation

Groups will present information on their party in a creative way. You must include information regarding your party's beliefs, role in Confederation, creation, main leader, and main leader's role in Confederation. All group members must be equally involved in the presentation. A group fact sheet will accompany the presentation.

Confederation Newspaper Advertisement

Choose one of the political parties (conservative or reformer) and create a brief newspaper advertisement for that party. The advertisement should reflect the view of the party and include a slogan trying to convince readers to support Confederation or oppose it. The advertisements should demonstrate an understanding of the concepts and summarize the key areas held by each party for the good of the community.

External Factors of Confederation

Choose one external factor that you believe is the greatest contributor to Confederation. Write a formal paragraph arguing your position. There should be a clear introductory and concluding statement. Use historical fact and personal opinion to support your argument.
