Scholars will work cooperatively to design a Power Point showing different aspects of life in Spain (festivals, food, sports, etc.). Scholars will then participate in an oral presentation of their PP, teaching the class about life in Spain.

Students will infer (using their background knowledge and specific clues from a literary piece. This will be assessed through the students' ability to use the inferring equation BK+C=I (Background Knowledge + Clues = Inference).

Scholars were asked to respond to questions about their character, personality and appearance. They were then asked to create a VENN diagram showing similarities and differences between themselves and their favorite teacher.

Write at least 10 sentences using your spelling words. All sentences must begin with a capital letter and have proper punctuation. Start each sentence on a new line and number all sentences. Make sure your name and class are at the top of the page. Oral: Spell your name in Spanish and share 3 of your sentences with the class.

Students are given a reading comprehension quiz after reading a short passage and participating in small group discussions. Students are expected to answer all questions in complete sentences using appropriate grammar and vocabulary in Spanish.

Students will be divided into groups and research factual information on major Spanish explorers and the empires they conquered. Provide a fact chart and choose a specific area of indigenous and Spanish life to present orally.

Students will use the Spanish alphabets, nouns, the indefinite article (a, an or some) and the verb SER (to be) to create a Spanish riddle. Students will use a foldable with a picture of a noun and label it on the inside with three clues on the outside. Student will then recite the riddle to the class in Spanish and English.

Scholar will create a Spanish diary with a colorful cover. Add weekly entries in Spanish about personal happenings, like vacations, holiday or daily activities. Entries must be at least half a page (75-100 words) long, diary must be at least 10 pages long and include your name, class and date.

Scholars will work independently to complete a VENN diagram that compares them to their favorite teacher. Scholars will then use their responses to participate in a conversation with the teacher. Must utilize verbs SER and ESTAR.

Students will create a colorful image of a monster, robot, alien or creature, label its body parts and create an inventory of the body parts. Conclude your project with a written description of your monster by writing a paragraph in Spanish, describing its personality and characteristics.

Student will create a poem in Spanish utilizing the verbs SER and ESTAR. Poem should be at least 2 stanzas. Students will put the poem on either construction paper thus making the poem visually appealing.

Scholars will design a Spanish menu for a new restaurant with Spanish foods. You must give your restaurant a name (in Spanish) and create a list of Spanish dishes. The menu should include at least three complete meals for each category on your menu, and a list of three or more beverages and desserts. The menu should be visually pleasing with with easily identifiable headings/categories, and graphics/color photos. Menu must be typed in Spanish.

First writing assignment of the year for portfolio. Assignment on what student's did on their summer vacations. Looking for a beginning, middle, and an ending. Looking for punctuation, capitalization, revising skills, and illustrating skills.

Students will research advance civilizations of Mesoamerica, such as the Mayans, Aztecs or Incas and create a PowerPoint about different aspects of their lives. Information should include: (1) Where and when they lived (maps), (2) Housing; (3) Clothing; (4) Food; (5) Religion; and (6) Lifestyle/Social - Culture.

Accurately express a variety of feelings of self and others by presenting a chart using present-tense forms of estar and Spanish I,II emotions. Use a chart, draw 8 different emotions and describe how you feel during that time of the day.
