Your assignment is to create a Powerpoint presentation that introduces and describes you and your friends through what you like and don't like. The powerpoint is to be 7-9 slides long. It should include a title slide. It should include 2 slides dedicated to you (me gusta). It should include a slide about "a el, le gusta" and a slide about "a ella, le gusta". It should also include a slide each about "nos gusta" and an "a ellos" or "a ellas, le gusta". Each content slide should include 3-4 sentences that include a form of the verb "ser" and adjectives that describe someone. Sentences will be graded on how correct they are and on how much variety is used. Design: Slides in the presentation must appear organized and attractive. Images and pictures should reflect the information in the Spanish content of the presentation.

Students will create a 3 page web page in Spanish. The project should be turned in as: an actual web page, a 3 slide power point presentation or as a 3 page paper web page. The title or topic of the web page must be related to one of the chapters in the book. The first page will be the home page. It must contain a web address and a title (in Spanish), at least 2 main links in Spanish w/pictures/graphics), at least 2 technology words or phrases, and at least ten vocab words related to your topic. The second and third pages are the pages one finds when they click onto one of your home page links. They must include a title, at least 3 links or subheadings, at least 8 vocab words or phrases (not including links) and 1 technology word or phrase. All vocabulary is to be in Spanish. (unless English is used to translate an unclear term) Each page of the presentation is to include color, pictures and design or background graphics. Projects are to be presented in Spanish (1.5-2 min)

Your assignment is to create a poster that represents your school schedule and 1 class in particular. Your first class will focus on your schedule. On it you will tell which classes you have and make notes about how much you like the six classes. The second side will focus on one class in particular. It will include a picture that represents the content of sentences that describe that class. The sentences on the second side will tell what the class is like, what the teacher is like, what you have to do in the class and what you like and don't like to do in the class. This information will be reflected/represented in the picture. Finally, the poster will be represented to the class in Spanish.

On a poster board create a 2 sided report/a glimpse of a classroom. Side one must include a picture of the room with a teacher & at least 3 students, 12 Spanish labeled classroom items. Side two must include 2-3 sentences about each of the following: Describing the class with adjectives, telling what people or people groups are doing in the class, mentioning what is in the class, mentioning where people and objects are in the class. High scoring projects will give examples of a variety of complicated sentences. Finally present the project to the class in a 1-1.5 min presentation in Spanish.

Running for class office, your friends did an English campaign & asked you to do the Spanish campaign--to create a poster & a 30 sec commercial. The poster promotes y'all's office, character, looks & what you like. Share the same about the opponents. 3-5 sentences must be written per candidate. Use variety. The sentences must show your side's character & interests to represent your school & the competition's. Commercial: don't read the poster, but share a few points about your team.

8 rubric Childrens Book -- Describing People Due Aug 24, 2009       popup preview  
The assignment is to create a children's book that describes you and 3 other friends (real or imaginary). The project will be divided as follows. One page or two ajoining pages will be used to describe you with "me gusta" phrases. Your description of yourself must include 5-7 things or activities you like or dislike. Each friend will also have a page where you will use "le gusta" sentences to describe 3-5 of their likes or dislikes. Each page that describes a character must include an image of that person, the sentences describing the person and visuals that confirm what the character likes or dislikes.

Create a schedule that tells what you do in a 5 day school week. It should be no bigger than a piece of construction paper. It must include where you go, what you do and when you do it (may be imaginary). It should contain 15-20 sentences. Low scoring projects will include little variety in where and when activities are done (or they will include many verbs and term that we have not learned how to use correctly). They will contain 15-17 sentences. They will contain several mistakes and they will not reflect our notes or the content we learned in class. High-scoring projects will be turned in on time. They will have full sentences that tell where and when you go or do something. They will contain 20 sentences with very few mistakes. They will reflect the vocabulary, the notes and the styles that we learned in class. Late projects will be penalized 10% for every day they are late. Web translators strongly penalized.

The classroom must include a title that identifies the room and at least 12 labeled class room items. Next describe the class itsself with 2 sentences. Then use 2 sentences to tell me what the teacher is like or what she says in class. Use 3 sentences to tell me what the students do or don't do in the class. Finally present the project to the class in Spanish for 1 min to 1.5 min. Late projects will lose 10 points per day late.

The profile must be divided into the following sections: the image of the person-including what the person looks like; their personality description; their likes and dislikes, a list of friends-each with small descriptions.
