Map of an Imaginary Island
Create an island You need to name your island Map Key (may use colors or symbols) Create a shelter Create one landform Create a source of fresh water Create a source of where you will get food Draw a compass rose complete with cardinal and sub-cardinal directions Provide written directions to get from a starting point to your food, shelter and water (at least one of the directions must be a sub-cardinal direction) Neatness counts and add color (one direction)

3 Branches of Government with 3 Questions and 1 Opinion
Students divided paper into four sections in three sections they placed the three branches of government. In the fourth section they were to ask three questions that they wanted to know about our government and one statement/opinion about our government.

Three Branches of Government Puzzle
Students were required to create a three piece puzzle from 9 x 12 construction paper, free form, put each branch on a different piece and label it with the branch name and who is in that branch and the responsibility of that branch. They were to include a drawing of the building in which the branch takes place. Then cut the puzzle apart but maintain the sections in relationship to each other. Glue it onto a larger sheet of construction paper and title it U.S. National Government Branches.
