You are creating a brochure or poster on a randomly selected genetic disorder. Please present your information as if I have no idea about this genetic disorder. Please be sure to answer all questions in order to ensure enough information about the genetic disorder that you have chosen.

This rubric is to grade students that are working on a group project. Each group will present a body system describing it's function, the main organs or body parts involved and a few major diseases or illnesses associated with that system. Each group will give an oral presentation and quiz the audience on the content.

Students will be researching a chosen drug in small groups, then sharing the collected information about the drug with the class. The research paper and presentation should include the classification; proper name; street names; methods of consumption; history; effects on physical, mental/emotional, and social health; uses; and demographics of users. Any additional information will be rewarded with extra credit. The group must also present the class with a short 10 question quiz on their drug.

This assignment is designed for middle school students to create a character education based children's book highlighting trustworthiness, respect, responsibility, fairness, caring and citizenship.

Students will create their own public service announcement to educate and persuade kids their own age not to use tobacco or alcohol.

Body Systems taught by 8th grade students

This will evalute the students understanding and participation in the class's creation of the Venn diagram and lesson introduction questions.
