Students will use this rubric as they write a short research paper about a topic of choice. It will be their grading rubric when the paper is completed.

Compare/contrast two subjects.

Students will create an original poem using their assigned element in the style of Shel Silverstein.

The student will write a book report (at least one page) on assigned book. They will need to include the title, author, lessons learned, a short review, and a character analysis for main characters, setting and elements of the genre.

Research the approved topic. Submit 3-5 typed pages of publishing the results of your research. Include a Works Cited page with at 3-5 sources used researching the paper. Paper will be graded on suffiency of research to support the thesis, effective use of information gained through research, credibility of sources, and relevance of included information. Grade will be based on organization, clarity, use of transitions, appropriate voice, correct citation format, grammar, spelling and punctuation.
