Students will research information on an assigned topic and prepare a presentation to convey information to an assigned audience.

Students will be evaluated on the following criteria; Organization - commercial flows logically, Content - Commercial explains issue, Graphics - utilized, Eye Contact - focused on audience, Grammar- Correct, Clarity - audible

Students prepare one short paper (1-2) pages describing the strengths of the guild system in Medieval Europe. Project is worth 20 points.

Students will give a persuasive speech to their peers. They will be assessed on Content and Style.

Students will give an informative speech on a topic of their choice to their peers. They will be assessed on content and delivery.

Research and develop a full understanding of one “classic” hero of literature. Once you have explained the classic character find a modern hero who exhibits the same characteristics. This person can be a famous athlete, actor, politician, or any historical figure. The only criteria is that he or she is ALIVE as of March 1st, 2010. Research and explain in your paper how and why he or she is considered a hero/heroine of yours.

Write a 30-60 second ad script for Radio or TV.
