This summary will contain multiple paragraphs. First: Title, author and a complete discription of at least 3 - 4 characters. Second: Descriptive Settings (Where did the story take place?) Third: The main events in order (What happened in the story?) Fourth: Why did you like or dislike the book. Fifth: Would or would you not you recommend this book to others in the classroom. 20-18=A, 17-16=B, 15-14=C, 13-12=D

2 rubric Grab Bag Book Report       popup preview  
Put at least five objects in a paper or plastic bag. These five things, PLUS a list of why each object is so important, will help in his/her presentation. The student must be ready to share with the class why the objects are so important to the book. Quality is imporatant. A written one page summary (200+ words) is required.

The student will create a Diorama which includes multiple layers of a favorite scene in the book. An attached written one page summary (or 200+ words). The attached summary will describe the favorite scene AND why it is the student's favorite. Did you make a connection somehow? They will then present their report to the class.

The student will create a timeline in the shape of a road map. The road map with show 8-12 important, drawn events in sequential order. There will be at least one sentence caption with each neatly drawn picture. Also, a multi-paragraph, one page summary will have the plot and talk about the main characters. They will then present their report in front of a small group or class.
