Field Trip Follow-Up

Students must complete their KWL+ Chart from the field trip. Then fill in the Venn Diagram with how life was during slavery and how it is now. Last, write a five paragraph essay, using the 6 + 1 Traits, including an introducation, body, and conclusion.

Path to Freedom

Choose a path on the Underground Railroad that a slave may have taken. Using the scale on the map, calculate the number of miles you would have walked to get to freedom. Then write a narrative, using voice, to describe what it may have been like on the journey.
