About Me

Jeffrey M. Strong, MBA, CFO-VP of Business

Jeffrey M. Strong, MBA, VP of Business has over 15 years experience specializing in Strategic/Leadership Planning, Human Resources, Finance, Payroll, Safety and Environmental, as well as Training & Development. Prior to joining Vennard College, Mr. Strong established Human Capital Advantage, LLC., a company providing outsourced Exit Interviews to companies with locations around the world. Mr. Strong held professional to executive positions in a variety of industries including Manufacturing, Insurance, Pharmaceutical, Medical, Automotive, Retail, Non-profit, Education and Military. Working with organizations ranging in size from 8 to Fortune 500 with budgets from $250 to multi-millions, he brings experience in multiple cultures including international and domestic business.

Mr. Strong graduated from Iowa State University and earned his Masters of Business Administration with an emphasis in Human Resources and Organizational Development from Upper Iowa University. Mr. Strong also has many years of teaching and coaching experience, carrying multiple certifications.

Serving locally on several Boards and filling leadership positions in several organizations, Mr. Strong takes pride in his civic involvement. Having spent over 12 years as a Youth Group Sponsor, several years as a Mentor to at-risk youth, and 17 years coaching, Mr. Strong understands working with children as well as adults. A 20 plus year veteran of the United States Navy Reserve, he currently serves as Executive Officer and Command Chief Petty Officer for his unit.

Feeling it is an honor to serve God and country, he is careful to balance this involvement with time for his family, which is usually spent around the water. An avid sportsman, he enjoys hunting, fishing, swimming, boating, scuba diving, and spending time with his kids.
