About Me
I was born in Portland, and spent most of my life in Oregon. I am an ordained pastor in The Evangelical Church. I have served Evangelical churches in Lebanon, Portland, and Eugene, Oregon. Along the way I was able to write "The Evangelical Story" which is the official history book of The Evangelical Church. I've had all kinds of different ministry opportunities such as youth work with inner city kids, chaplain at Boy Scout camp, working with men in a drug rehab facility in the Multnomah County Jail, leader of the Pacific Conference Evangelical Men, working with a couple of ethnic churches, one Hispanic, one Russian, and leading an active ministerial association. So, after 12 years of pastoral ministry I'm beginning a new ministry at Vennard College.
I like baseball, history, bratwurst, and eat way too much candy.
I also love God and His Word. My favorite quote from the history of The Evangelical Church is from Bishop Praetorious. In 1904 when he was 22 years old and received his license to preach he went home and wrote in the flyleaf of his Bible, "I have but one passion for my ministry and that is to know this book and interpret it to others."
