Roofing Applications
	Below Basic 1 pts	Basic 2 pts	Mastered 3 pts
Felt Paper	Below Basic Attempted to install felt paper however did not follow methods or procedures demonstrated.	Basic Felt paper was installed but top and side lap were not within required measurements. Plus or minus 1/16 of an inch.	Mastered Felt paper was installed using 2" top lap and 4" side lap.
Drip Edge	Below Basic Attempted to install drip edge however did not follow methods or procedures demonstrated.	Basic Installed drip edge however cuts were not accurate. Ends were not folded properly. fasteners were spaced randomly with no attention to 10" spacing.	Mastered All cuts were accurate, precise, and corners were folded neatly. Fasteners were spaced 10" apart.
Shingle Installation	Below Basic Attempted to install shingles however did not follow methods or procedures demonstrated.	Basic Installed shingles but exposure is not required 5". Shingle lines are not straight.	Mastered Installed using 5" exposure. Nice straight shingle lines. No exposed fasteners. Four nails per shingle and located below tar strip.
Ridge Cap	Below Basic Attempted to install ridge cap however did not follow methods or procedures demonstrated.	Basic Installed cap shingles but exposure is not the required 5" and ridge cap does not run straight.	Mastered Installed with 5" exposure. Ridge cap runs straight across the top. Followed proper nailing pattern.
Safety	Below Basic Did not work in a safe manner.	Basic Worked safely and followed safety rules with minimal prompting.	Mastered Worked in a safe manner and followed all safety rules.
