Presentation

Students will be graded on their knowledge of the rocks, if they provide examples, creativity when it comes to being a geologist, how they develop their website, and their presentation to the class as well as the information they discover about the rocks they find. Eye contact, projection and ability to answer your peers questions will be evaluated.

Does not present to class or is not prepared. Student demonstrates little to no knowledge on the three types of rocks, uses little to no examples, and photos. Lacks in creativity and website looks like no effort was made. Did not complete project.
Poor

Is not fully prepared and does not present themselves as a geologist that did their research. Uses half or less of the vocabulary. Does not maintain eye contact throughout presentation, and lacks in projection. Student answers 1 out of 3 of the audiences questions.
Fair

Mostly prepared and presents themselves somewhat as a geologist that has done their research. Uses half but not all vocabulary. For majority of the project makes eye contact, projects their speech, and can answer 2 out of 3 of the audiences questions.
Excellent

Fully prepared and presents themselves like an educated geologist. Interacts with the class, makes eye contact, projects their speech, uses all vocabulary, and can answer 3 out of 3 of the audiences questions.
