The entire page is filled.	Poor The page has a large portion of white left unpainted.	Fair A small amount of white is left on the page.	Good There is little or no white left on the page.	Excellent The entire page is filled beautifully with no white spots left unless they were added later with white paint.
The effort put into the painting	Poor The student did not even attempt to do their best work.	Fair The student put in a minimal amount of work into their painting.	Good The student worked well on their painting but could have done a little bit more to finish it.	Excellent The student did their best work. The painting was of great quality for that students ability.
Tint, Shading and Shapes	Poor Missing many of the different shapes, tints, or shades.	Fair Not all of the 6 shapes are present and/or they are not different sizes and not all of the tints and shading are done.	Good The majority of the tinting and shading is done (5 of the 6) and all the different sizes of the shape are present.
