When someone is accepted by a college, what role does their race play in their consideration and eventual acceptance? Is there an ideal quota that the school is trying to reach? A person should be accepted because of their own achievements, not because of their racial background. However, there is the view that minorities are underprivileged and should therefore be chosen over equally qualified white people. This could transfer into the workplace, is this ethical?
